1,500 Crore Found in Bihar Pensioner's Bank Accounts, Investigation Sought
An 82-year-old man from Bihar's Muzaffarpur was left stunned after discovering that a total of nearly ₹1,500 crore had been credited to his and his son's bank accounts.
Kameshwar Mishra had visited the bank to withdraw his old-age pension, while his son had gone to collect his disability pension. During the transaction, they found that ₹759 crore had been reflected in each of their accounts.
Shocked by the unexpected balance, Mishra immediately informed bank officials and urged the authorities to investigate how such an enormous amount appeared in their accounts. An inquiry is expected to determine whether the incident was caused by a technical glitch or a banking error.
