Crackdown on Illicit Liquor Activities by Siliguri Police

On 26.09.2026, a joint raid was conducted by the Police team of Bagdogra PS in coordination with Bagdogra Excise Circle, with assistance from Bagdogra RPU, and CAPF personnel, at Hansqua, Bhojnarayan Tea Estate, Nicheline, Bauri Jote, Magtu Line and other areas under Bagdogra PS, as part of ongoing efforts to curb the illegal manufacture and distribution of illicit liquor.

During the raid, 80 litres of illicitly distilled liquor and 380 litres of fermented wash were seized. A total of 05 locations were raided, and 02 Excise cases were detected. The total value of the seized materials was estimated at ₹1,16,000/-.

Siliguri Police remains steadfast in its efforts to prevent the illegal production and distribution of illicit liquor through sustained and coordinated enforcement action.
