Five Persons Arrested in Attempted Kidnapping and Assault Case by Siliguri Police

On 02.11.2026, a complaint was lodged at NJP Police Station under Siliguri Police Commissionerate regarding an alleged attempt to kidnap and assault Aman Sharma (27), a resident of Milanpally, Ward No. 26.

The incident involved five persons who arrived at the spot in a black Scorpio. The accused persons, identified as (1) Kamlesh Yadav (47), owner of Ranchi Door of Life, Patratoli, Ranchi, (2) Md. Asraf, (3) Sunny Oraon, (4) Ranjit Sharma and (5) Santosh Kumar Gupta, allegedly attempted to forcibly abduct him following a previous salary dispute and assaulted him, causing injuries.

Hearing his cries for help, local residents intervened and alerted the police. Acting promptly, the police apprehended all five accused persons along with the vehicle.
