Govt Of West Bengal Terminates Service Tenure Of All Re-Employment / Extension With Single Official Order With Immediate Effect

The Government of West Bengal under the leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister Sh. Suvendu Adhikari ji has today taken a much needed decision to terminate all the posts occupied by nominated Members, Directors, and Chairpersons etc in various Public Sector Undertakings, Boards, State Run Organisations and Non-statutory bodies, with immediate effect.

Further the orders have also been given for the termination of re-employment and extensions of service granted to officers and officials beyond the normal superannuation age of 60 years across all state government departments.

This order effectively removes all the nominated Municipal Chairpersons, nominated members of various Development Boards, nominated members of Education Boards, School Service Commissions, College Service Commissions, and other such entities.

This will also pave the way for the long-awaited elections in various Municipalities across our Darjeeling hills, Terai and Dooars region, and the state. After 15-years of attempts at subversion by TMC, democracy has finally prevailed in West Bengal.
