Hindu man dies after jumping into canal while fleeing mob in Bangladesh
A 25-year-old Hindu man died in Bangladesh after jumping into a canal while trying to escape a mob that was chasing him on suspicion of theft.
The incident took place in Mahadebpur area of Naogaon district. The victim has been identified as Mithun Sarkar, a resident of Bhandarpur village. Police recovered his body from the canal on Tuesday afternoon.
