TERROR -TOURISM AND TRADE WON'T GO TOGETHER !!

Reportedly, Turkey not only supplied drones to Pakistan but also deployed military personnel to Islamabad to aid in drone operations targeting India, according to reliable sources.

As per the same sources, two Turkish military operatives were killed during Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army’s counter-terror operation. It is further claimed that Turkey provided Pakistan with over 350 drones during the four-day confrontation with India, marking a significant level of military collaboration between the two countries.

In the wake of Operation Sindoor and the open diplomatic support extended by Turkey and Azerbaijan to Pakistan, a wave of public outrage has surged across India, triggering a countrywide boycott of Turkish and Azerbaijani goods and services.

The backlash, witnessed in cities like Mumbai, Pune, and other major urban centers, has gained momentum with political parties, trade associations, and travel firms joining the protest. Shiv Sena supporters took to the streets denouncing Ankara and Baku, while several fruit vendors in Maharashtra confirmed the removal of Turkish apples from their inventories in a symbolic gesture of protest.

Travel companies, including major players like EaseMyTrip and Cox & Kings, have also responded decisively by halting all travel bookings to Turkey and Azerbaijan. Advisory notices have been issued cautioning citizens against non-essential travel to both countries.

The sharp shift in sentiment comes amid reports that Turkish-manufactured Songar drones were allegedly deployed by Pakistan, a claim that gained traction after discussions surfaced in the Pakistani National Assembly. The development has only intensified India’s displeasure, as many view the military collaboration as a direct provocation.

Despite Turkey’s tourism board attempting damage control by issuing a diplomatic invitation to Indian tourists, the public mood remains firm. The message from India is clear: any nation aligning with terrorism or hostile agendas cannot expect normal trade and tourism ties.

With over 3.3 lakh Indians having visited Turkey in 2024 alone, the economic impact of the boycott could be significant for Turkish tourism and exports. The evolving situation signals a possible shift in regional alignments, as India tightens its stance not only on the battlefield but also across economic and diplomatic domains.
