Darjeeling, July 14 : On Tuesday night, a Mahindra Thar vehicle got stuck in the middle of the Dudhia Balasan river when the water level suddenly rose, creating the potential for a serious accident. According to local sources, the four people inside the vehicle were trapped mid-stream due to the strong water current.
At this time, a local resident, Devkumar Rai, demonstrated immense courage. Along with other villagers, he immediately launched a rescue operation and safely pulled all four individuals out. This rescue mission, carried out despite highly challenging circumstances, highlights the bravery and humanitarian spirit of the local community.
Everyone is safe, although the vehicle remains stuck in the river. This incident strongly emphasizes the need for special precautions when crossing rivers during the rainy season.
