MP Raju Bista met with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and discussed various issues with her

Raju Bista : Today, I had the privilege of meeting with the Hon'ble Finance Minister, Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman ji. On behalf of the people from our Darjeeling hills, Terai and Dooars region, I congratulated her on becoming the first Finance Minister to have presented nine consecutive budgets.

I took the opportunity to discuss various issues confronting our region, particularly focusing on the livelihoods and welfare of thousands of tea garden workers in West Bengal. I submitted a formal request seeking her immediate intervention to ensure the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Cha Shramik Protsahan Yojana (PMCSPY) in West Bengal.

I am deeply committed to the well-being of our hardworking tea and cinchona workers, who form the backbone of India's tea industry yet endure extreme vulnerabilities.
