"Private Schools Will No Longer Be Allowed to Act Arbitrarily in Bengal; The Government Will Not Let Temples of Education Become Centres of Business," Says Suvendu Adhikari
West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari, has said that private schools in the state will no longer be allowed to function arbitrarily. He asserted that educational institutions should serve as centres of learning, not profit-making businesses.
Adhikari stated that the government must ensure transparency and accountability in the functioning of private schools and prevent the commercialization of education. He stressed that schools are "temples of education" and should focus on providing quality education rather than operating as business enterprises.
