Respected Sir,

With due respect, I, Miss Ronita Lama, daughter of Sri Uttam Lama, presently residing at my rented premises situated on the ground floor of a two-storied building at Rash Behari Sarani, Hakimpara, under Ward No. 17 of S.M.C., P.O. & P.S. Siliguri, District Darjeeling, West Bengal, Pin 734001, would like to draw your kind attention to the following facts:

1. I am a tribal by community and a permanent resident of Lanka Para Tea Garden, Birpara, P.O. Lanka Para, P.S. Birpara, District Alipurduar, West Bengal. I have hired a rental accommodation owned by Advocate Pankaj Thakur. I am staying there along with my friends Diksha Thapa, Alina Rai, Shreya Rai, and Indra Bhujel. We are pursuing higher education and competitive examinations and are staying at the rental accommodation for that reason.

2. One Leela Dutta and her sister Rubi Dutta, both daughters of Late Joydeb Dutta, reside on the upper floor of the same building. They suddenly started thrashing the wooden window of our rental accommodation with a hammer. I came outside with my friends and saw what was happening. I asked them why they were doing this, but they started abusing and attacking us with the hammer. We somehow stopped them and saved our lives.

3. At the same time, they told me the following: "Tum log Nepali chhota jaat ka ho, tum log yaha dhanda karti ho, Nepali chhota jat sab yaha Siliguri me randi hai."

4. They abused me with filthy language and intentionally humiliated me because I am a tribal person. They also threatened to drive us out of Siliguri.

Therefore, I request you to investigate the matter and take stern action against them. I shall be highly obliged.
