Reports : Baloch leader claims the region declared independence from Pakistan in August 1947

Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch posted on X that a renowned journalist once asked him about Balochistan's 'independence' from Pakistan. He recalled him asking, "Will the date of independence of Balochistan be declared when Pakistan Army leaves Baloch soil?"

"We've already declared our independence on August 11, 1947, when Britishers were leaving Balochistan," Mir recalled telling the journalist.
