Sheikh Hasina issues first statement after being sentenced to death
Ousted Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina has issued statement on death penalty by International Crimes Tribunal. "[It reveals]...murderous intent of extremist figures...to remove Bangladesh's last elected PM, and to nullify... Awami League as political force," she said. "I reject...allegations of human rights abuses...I'm...proud of my government's record on human rights and development," Hasina added.
