Siliguri Police Launch Special Drive Against Food Adulteration

Siliguri, September 2: In a bid to protect public health and ensure the availability of safe and quality food, the Siliguri Police Commissionerate conducted a Special Drive Against Food Adulteration across various areas under its jurisdiction.

The enforcement drive was carried out under the leadership of Shri Faruque Md. Chowdhury, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Enforcement Branch, Siliguri Police Commissionerate, in the presence of the Food Safety Officer and other Civil Officers.

As part of the operation, officials conducted detailed inspections and necessary checks at food establishments to identify and prevent the sale or distribution of adulterated, substandard and unsafe food products.

The Siliguri Police Commissionerate reiterated its commitment to safeguarding public health through strict enforcement, regular inspections, inter-departmental coordination and proactive action against food adulteration.

The initiative aims to promote food safety and hygiene while ensuring that residents have access to safe, wholesome and quality food products.
