Toto Theft Case: Arrest and Recovery by Siliguri Police

Siliguri, October 7: Siliguri Police have arrested a man and recovered a stolen Toto (E-Rickshaw) in connection with a theft case registered at Matigara Police Station.

According to police, a complaint was lodged on September 28, alleging that an unregistered Tera Motors Toto had been stolen at around noon on September 27 from outside the complainant’s residence at Vivekanandapally, Kadamtala, under Matigara Police Station.

During the investigation, police worked on source information and analysed CCTV footage from the area. Based on the findings, the accused, identified as Hemanta Das, a resident of Fulbari, Paschim Dhantala, under NJP Police Station in Jalpaiguri, was arrested.

The stolen Toto was subsequently recovered from his possession. Further investigation into the case is underway.
