8th Pay Commission : Massive Salary Hike Likely; Arrears Could Reach ₹15 Lakh for Central Govt Employees
Central government employees may receive arrears for nearly 20 months, with payouts ranging from 3.6 lakh to 15 lakh, depending on basic pay levels, under the 8th Pay Commission, reports said.
Further, employee unions have demanded fitment factor in the range of 3 to 3.25. If accepted, this could sharply increase minimum basic salary from 18,000 to around ₹54,000.
