Bengal BJP govt to bulldoze Mamata-designed football sculpture at Salt Lake Stadium
The BJP government in West Bengal will remove a football-themed statue, which was designed by former CM Mamata Banerjee.
The statue of giant legs having a football on top was installed in 2017 at Salt Lake Stadium.
"Such an ugly-looking statue, two legs cut at torso and football above it does not make sense," said Sports Minister Nisith Pramanik.
