BJP Government Announces Group D Jobs for Families of Political Violence Victims in West Bengal
Six months after assuming power in West Bengal, the BJP-led government has introduced a scheme to provide Group D government jobs to one eligible family member of those who lost their lives in incidents of alleged political violence in the state since January 1, 2001.
According to a notification issued by the state Home and Hill Affairs Department on October 30, additional Group D posts will be created to implement the scheme. The government has described it as a one-time special provision aimed at supporting families affected by political violence.
The initiative is expected to provide employment opportunities to eligible family members of the victims.
