British internet personality Miles Routledge, notorious for his provocative and often offensive online remarks, has once again ignited controversy—this time with a fresh wave of derogatory comments aimed at Indians.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Routledge made inflammatory claims about Indian job applicants, alleging poor hygiene, dishonesty in interviews, and lack of English proficiency. His statements have drawn sharp criticism for being not only racially charged but also entirely unsubstantiated.

Routledge claimed he received inside information from a supposed contact in Google's HR department, who allegedly said that a significant majority of job applications come from India and that many of them include blatant fabrications. According to him, some applicants made bizarre assertions such as having helped Google’s CEO secure the position or having family ties to the company's founding.

Furthering the smear, Routledge alleged that many Indian candidates struggle with spoken English and possess accents that teams find intolerable. He also referred to so-called reports of poor personal hygiene during in-person interviews—remarks widely condemned as xenophobic.

The post was quickly met with online backlash, with several users accusing Routledge of promoting dangerous stereotypes. Some responses echoed his sentiments, expressing frustrations about visa-related issues and work experience misrepresentation, though critics were quick to point out the generalization and inherent bias in such accusations.

This isn't Routledge’s first brush with controversy. He previously drew global attention in 2021 after venturing into Taliban-controlled Afghanistan as a stunt, which ended with a high-risk evacuation. In 2023, he again made headlines after reportedly being detained by Taliban authorities.

Routledge's repeated provocations have raised broader concerns about the role of social media in amplifying racially charged rhetoric and the lack of accountability for individuals using public platforms to spread hate.
