Delhi replaces Ladli scheme with Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana, promises ₹1 lakh support for girls’ education
The Delhi government will replace the 2008 Ladli Yojana with the Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana from April 1.
Under this, phased deposits totalling up to 56,000 will be made from a girl's birth to her graduation, which are expected to mature to over 1 lakh. The final amount will be given to up to two girls per eligible family upon graduation.
