Bloemfontein, October 3: South Africa’s 20-year-old Lhuan-dre Pretorius has rewritten T20 cricket history, smashing an unbeaten 188 off just 79 balls for Titans against Knights in the CSA T20 Challenge on Friday.

Pretorius struck 15 fours and 13 towering sixes, surpassing Chris Gayle’s iconic 175 not out off 66 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Pune Warriors India in IPL 2013.

The sensational innings ended Gayle’s 13-year reign as the holder of the highest individual score in men’s T20 cricket, establishing a remarkable new benchmark of 188 not out.
