Govt Urges Bank Employees to Call Off Three-Day Strike, Warns of Five-Day Disruption
The Finance Ministry on Monday urged employees of public sector banks and regional rural banks to withdraw their proposed three-day strike scheduled for September 28 to 30.
The ministry warned that the strike, coinciding with the half-yearly closing on September 30, could disrupt banking services for up to five consecutive days.
Bank employees have called the strike to press their demand for the implementation of a five-day banking system.
