Three-Day Bank Strike Deferred Following Talks Between UFBU and IBA
The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has deferred its three-day nationwide bank strike, which was scheduled for September 28 to 30, following an understanding reached with the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) on Sunday night.
According to the UFBU, an IBA-UFBU committee will examine the demand to declare all Saturdays as holidays for bank employees. Discussions will also resume on the Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) for Scale IV and above officers, along with other pending issues.
The decision to defer the strike follows the latest round of discussions between the two sides.
