In a remarkable medical milestone, Indore set a new state record on Friday with the birth of the heaviest newborn ever delivered in a Madhya Pradesh government hospital.

A baby girl weighing an astounding 5.43 kg was born via Caesarean section at PC Sethi Civil Hospital. The 24-year-old mother had a high-risk pregnancy complicated by severe pre-eclampsia, critically high blood pressure (160/110), body swelling, and an unusually large baby. Given her shorter stature and weight exceeding 90 kg, doctors ruled out a normal delivery.

Thankfully, both mother and child are stable and under medical observation, marking a successful outcome for this extraordinary case.
