Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Third Arrest as Chetan Chaudhary's Friend Held for Conspiracy

Mumbai, Sep 6 : In a major breakthrough in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, police have arrested a third accused — Ritesh Hange, a close friend of prime suspect Chetan Babulal Chaudhary. Agarwal was allegedly murdered at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18, pushed off a cliff by his fiancée Siya Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary in a bid to stage it as an accident. Siya and Chetan were arrested on June 23.

Investigators say Hange had prior knowledge of the conspiracy. He had been in touch with both Siya and Chaudhary since late May, though he did not accompany them to the fort on the day of the killing. Police allege Chaudhary met Hange soon after the incident, and Siya also spoke to him around the same time — forming the basis of the conspiracy charge against him.

The Vadgaon Maval sessions court has remanded Hange to police custody until September 12 for further investigation.
