Mangan, May 5: In a well-coordinated effort to ensure essential supplies reach remote regions, the Mangan district administration successfully facilitated the distribution of refilled LPG cylinders to residents of Lachen on April 26 and 27, 2026.

Given the logistical challenges of the region, the cylinders were transported and distributed at Tarum Chu through a transshipment process managed by the Mangan Indane Gas agency. The initiative ensured that households in the high-altitude area did not face disruptions in their cooking fuel supply.

The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of District Collector Anant Jain and District Civil Supplies Officer Palden N. Lachungpa, whose coordinated efforts played a crucial role in the smooth execution of the distribution process.

The administration’s proactive approach highlights its commitment to maintaining steady access to essential commodities, even in the most difficult terrains of North Sikkim.
