Nepal is battling a major weather disaster after four consecutive days of heavy rainfall triggered devastating floods and landslides across several parts of the country.
At least 21 people have reportedly lost their lives, while five others remain missing. Landslides have accounted for 14 of the reported deaths, with flooding and rain-related incidents causing further casualties.
The destruction has been widespread, with around 260 houses completely destroyed and another 80 partially damaged. Nearly 3,000 people have been moved to safer locations as authorities continue rescue and evacuation operations.
Emergency teams have carried out rescues in mountainous areas including Jajarkot, Myagdi and Sankhuwasabha, with helicopters being deployed to airlift stranded residents.
Dramatic visuals from affected areas show houses collapsing into swollen rivers, while aerial footage reveals roads, homes and agricultural fields submerged under floodwater.
Heavy rainfall, flooding and landslides continue to disrupt normal life, leaving communities displaced and transport links affected as rescue and relief operations continue.
