One Person Arrested with Contraband Cough Syrup

Acting on credible source information, a team of Matigara Police Station conducted a raid at Nischintapur Tea Estate near Gulmohor Apartment under Matigara Police Station, District Darjeeling.

During the operation, one person, namely Palash Dhali (25 years), a resident of Simultala near Webel IT Park under Matigara Police Station, was apprehended. Upon search, 20 bottles of contraband Phensedyl cough syrup (100 ml each) and one Android mobile phone were recovered and seized from his exclusive possession.

A case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. All legal procedures were carried out in strict compliance with the provisions of the NDPS Act. Further investigation is underway.
