Siliguri Police Crack Down on Alleged Illegal Sand Mining

Siliguri Police have arrested three persons and seized two dumpers loaded with RBM sand, along with a JCB machine, during a crackdown on alleged illegal sand lifting under NJP Police Station.

According to police, the accused were unable to produce valid permits or supporting documents for the transportation and lifting of the sand. The seized vehicles and machinery have been taken into custody, and a case has been registered in connection with the incident.
Further investigation is underway to determine the source of the sand and identify any other persons involved in the alleged illegal activity.
