Reaffirming its commitment to a victim-centric and rehabilitative approach towards addressing drug abuse, Matigara Police Station under the Siliguri Police Commissionerate facilitated the admission of two young individuals to rehabilitation centres with the active support and cooperation of their families.

19-year-old Harioada Barman, son of Nagen Barman of Binay Krishnapally, Matigara, was admitted to the Saino Foundation and Rehabilitation Centre, Deonia More.

24-year-old Md. Masum, son of Md. Nurul of Biswas Colony, Matigara, was admitted to the Jagriti Foundation Rehabilitation Centre, NJP.

The Siliguri Police Commissionerate remains committed to a balanced approach that combines firm enforcement with care, rehabilitation and recovery. The focus is not only on tackling drug abuse but also on supporting affected individuals and their families, helping them regain stability and providing an opportunity to build a healthier and more hopeful future.
