Tiger Shroff Firing Case: Police Launch Manhunt, Suspect Detained in Mumbai
Mumbai, October 19: Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff reportedly escaped a shooting attack near Pushpa Park in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening after gunmen opened fire at his BMW while he was leaving a football session.
The actor's driver, identified in reports as Firdaus or Firdous, sustained a hand injury, while an autorickshaw driver was also hurt. Police said Shroff escaped without bullet injuries, although Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reportedly mentioned minor injuries caused by glass and gunpowder.
Videos circulating online purportedly show the attackers firing several rounds at the vehicle. One report suggested that a gunman's weapon jammed during the attack.
Mumbai Police reportedly formed 15 investigative teams, with one suspect detained for questioning. No arrest had been officially confirmed as of Monday morning.
Meanwhile, a man claiming affiliation with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly took responsibility for the shooting, citing Shroff's association with Salman Khan. Police have not verified the claim.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reportedly assured the actor and his family of police action.
