Caught on the Run: Tiger Shroff Firing Suspects Nabbed on Kota Train, Planned To Escape to Nepal
Kota/Mumbai, October 19: Less than a day after shots were fired at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff's car in Mumbai's Juhu area, police held three suspects on a train in Kota, Rajasthan.
The shooting took place around 7 pm on Sunday near Pushpa Park, as Shroff was leaving a football session. Three men on a motorcycle opened fire on his vehicle and fled. Shroff was unhurt, but his driver was injured.
Kota SP Tejaswani Gautam named the accused as Rehan alias Sukka, 18, of Sonipat, Haryana, and Hritik Kurmi alias Roshan, 22, of Begusarai, Bihar, who lived in Andheri West, Mumbai. The third suspect, a juvenile, has been detained.
Acting on a morning tip-off, police searched the Pune-Jaipur Express and picked up all three from a general coach. Police said the suspects planned to travel from Jaipur to Delhi by bus and then escape to Nepal.
Initial investigation points to links with gangster Anil Pandit, an alleged Lawrence Bishnoi gang associate believed to be operating from the US. Reports say the suspects had tracked the actor's Sunday football routine before the attack. They will be handed over to Mumbai Police, and the investigation is continuing.
