New Delhi, May 10 : Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has confirmed that a ceasefire agreement has been reached between India and Pakistan following high-level military dialogue under the framework of Operation Sindoor. The announcement was made during a formal press briefing held earlier today.

According to Misri, the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan contacted his Indian counterpart at 15:35 hours this afternoon. During the conversation, both sides agreed to immediately halt all forms of military engagement—whether on land, at sea, or in the air—effective from 17:00 hours IST today.

He further informed that necessary instructions have been issued to respective military commands to implement the ceasefire in full. To ensure continued coordination, the two DGMOs are scheduled to reconvene via direct communication on May 12 at 12:00 hours.

This development marks a significant diplomatic and strategic turn in the aftermath of heightened tensions under Operation Sindoor, signaling a temporary de-escalation between the two nations.
