🚫 Drone Ban in Gangtok Ahead of PM’s Visit

Gangtok, April 23 : Gangtok is set to witness tight security measures as the Sikkim government prepares for the upcoming visit of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. In a fresh office order, the Tourism & Civil Aviation Department has imposed a complete ban on flying drones across Gangtok district.

The restriction will remain in force from April 26 to April 28, 2026, citing security concerns during the high-profile visit.

Authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against violators under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), along with relevant rules of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

Residents, enthusiasts , tourists, and content creators are urged to adhere to the directive and cooperate with officials to ensure smooth and secure arrangements.
