Gold Prices Plunge in India a Day After Karwa Chauth; Silver Sees Sharp Weekly Decline
Gold prices witnessed a sharp decline in India on Friday, just a day after Karwa Chauth, following heightened volatility in the precious metals market throughout the week.
According to IBJA data, gold prices dropped by more than ₹2,200 to reach ₹1,40,054 per 10 grams. Silver prices also plunged sharply, falling by over ₹9,100 on Friday alone. On a weekly basis, silver recorded a decline of more than ₹13,000, closing at ₹1,81,344 per kilogram.
The steep fall in gold and silver prices has drawn attention from buyers and investors amid continued fluctuations in the bullion market.
