Gold Prices Fall on Dhanteras in India; Silver Also Sees Sharp Decline

Gold prices in India ended lower on Friday, coinciding with the celebration of Dhanteras. According to data from the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), gold prices declined by ₹2,677 to ₹1,41,452 per 10 grams.

Silver prices also witnessed a significant drop, falling by ₹4,432 to close at ₹1,82,868 per kilogram.

However, despite Friday’s decline, both precious metals recorded an overall gain during the Dhanteras week. Gold prices increased by ₹1,398 per 10 grams, while silver registered a weekly rise of ₹1,524 per kilogram.

The latest price movement comes amid continued fluctuations in the domestic bullion market during the festive season.
