US STRIKES 3 IRANIAN OIL TANKERS AFTER MISSILE ATTACK
New Delhi, Sep 6 : The United States has struck three Iranian crude-oil tankers following an Iranian ballistic missile attack targeting two US Navy ships, marking a major escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran.
According to US Central Command, American forces targeted the vessels after the missile attack. No US personnel were reported injured.
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a strong warning following the confrontation, saying that if Iran fires on American ships, the US will “destroy (and sink) their oil tankers.”
The development has heightened concerns over further military escalation and possible disruption to oil shipments through the strategically important Gulf and Strait of Hormuz.
The situation remains developing, with attention now focused on Iran’s response and whether further military action will follow.
