Gold Jewellery Worth Lakhs Recovered After Two Consecutive House Burglaries in Shivmandir; One Arrested

Panic gripped the Shardapally area of Shivmandir under Matigara Police Station following two separate incidents of gold jewellery theft from residential houses. According to preliminary investigations, the accused allegedly took advantage of the absence of the homeowners to carry out the thefts on two different occasions.

After discovering the thefts, the house owners lodged separate written complaints at Matigara Police Station in September. Acting on the complaints, plainclothes police personnel of Matigara Police Station launched an investigation.

Following leads gathered during the investigation, police conducted an operation and detained a person identified as Raghuveer Prasad Saha from the Kholaibasti area of Matigara.

According to police sources, stolen gold jewellery worth lakhs of rupees has been recovered from the accused. Police are investigating his alleged involvement in both house burglary cases and are also examining whether other individuals were involved in the thefts.
